Hi Folks,

I am trying to learn anything I can about this countermark/counterstamp. It appears to be a horse. I cannot find anything conclusive on the origin. The host coin is a 1773 Spanish Colonial- Guatemala 1 Real. Any help would, as always, be greatly appreciated.

Chafemasterj,

I thought so as well. I didnt think I would have difficulty identifying it but boy was I wrong. It continues to elude me. I need to start looking for books on the subject.
