tdziemia Pillar of the Community United States 7959 Posts	Posted 01/11/2020 4:29 pm "SANCTVS PETRVS" obverse, which makes Papal States a good guess. The shield looks like that used during the reign of CLement XII, and you can see the letters LEM at 7:00-9:00 in your second photo, so that gives a date range in 1730s. tdziemia Pillar of the Community United States 7959 Posts	Posted 01/11/2020 10:57 pm I almost second guessed myself because the Saxony coat of arms also has bars with an angled band across. But I've got a couple of larger Papal States 18th c. coppers that helped keep me headed in the right direction. Apparently this is not a common type ... couldnt find it either in Numista or NGC.
