I would appreciate clearifing a newbee question about full steps
I have a uncirculated 1960D Jefferson that I need to get a better magniing glass for pictures , it appears to be full steps at one end then fades out at the last 2/3 and ends up showing only top two steps . I understand it is next to impossible for that year to get full steps, but brought to my mind the question of full steps.
Does the term mean the full length or can there be full steps partial?
Thanks for clearifing

That wouldn't count as full steps. For a year like that, you need atleast 4-5 steps visible all the way though will no interruptions.

Thanks @CherryPicker1 . I will get a better glass on it to be sure , but I now know FULL STEPS means the whole leangth uninterrupted.
Thanks for input and time

A lot of guys think they have an older date FS Nickel but it turns out that one or more steps has a hit or something else that interrupts it . A nice strong reverse strike is essential for any attempt at a FS designation .

Differentiating between risers and steps will always pay off in the end and stay tuned for a surprise as in the following enlightening thread:
