Picked this off the bay pretty much assuming it had been whizzed, but liked the reverse die cracks and overall strike so bid accordingly. In hand was pleasantly surprised by no hairlines. Pictures in natural light, thinking "UNC Details" 62ish ,your opionion?

That reverse die crack is a Retained Cud. Notice the displacement of the denticles at about 9:00? Nice looking piece!

Edit: looks like it maybe RCD-1C-1862-04R:

No diamonds showing, guessing EF details (cleaned)- certainly not close to uncirculated.

My LCS has an example of this exact reverse die crack 9-11:00 o'clock in a much more advanced state VF original, however his price was $40.00 so declined. Will attempt to get better price and if so post pictures for comparison. There is additional die cracking running from rim at 4:00 o'clock through arrow into ribbon. Don't think the die held up much longer but not aware of a listed major Cud for these cracks. Hammer price was $38.01 and my max was a dollar more, not especially a steal but am ok with price. Pics don't show the retoning going on, putting it on window sill for a 6 month sentence and see what happens. Respectfully disagree with EF, too little wear and isn't poor strike/worn dies common on these copper nickel issues? Here is a bronze graded EF40 for comparison. pic courtesy of GC

Well bygolly you seem right, studying the 1862 it does show wear keeping it from MS afterall. Coppernickel issues are prettymuch a new ball game for me, unfamiliar quarry I'm getting sucked in by the flying eagle's and copper nickel issues. Unbelievable how there are so many high grade MS pieces surviving today definitely going certified on these issues until I'm more proficient. Personnaly these are more difficult for me to grade than the bronze, looking forward to learning the ropes on these.
Thanks all.
