Greetings. I don't have this Barber dime in my possession yet, but is on the way. Fairly nice sample IMO. However, the picture I am providing is all I have. Slightly fuzzy, but adequate I think for my question.

I also provided a sample picture of a Heritage Auctions 1916 Barber MS-66+, to help in this effort.

If you look between the back of neck, and hair ribbon on the Heritage sample Barber, you simply see a flat field in that space.

On the one I have coming, you see what looks like additional metal, or something. Is it possibly a Clash? Or nothing at all? Light playing tricks in picture? Saw this after the fact.

Anyway...no big deal, but thought I would throw that out there and see if some Barber dime expert can elaborate. Thanks.

Either a clash or a die event of some sort.

I agree Grape. Here is some more info I just found. Looks like it is on a few other samples. This 1914 sample has it. And looking closer at the one I will receive, there is evidence of more potential clashes. Or some Die issue as you noted. Interesting. Will check to see if any Barbers are Attributed with Clashes.

Yes....went to MadDieClashes site, and that is what it is (ADC-10c-1892-01). Same places I pointed out, and some other areas. On Reverse as well. I will know more when I receive. Seems clashes follow me. Lol. I got a 1918-D Mercury I posted some time back with crazy detailed clashes. Tried to Attribute at Mad Die Clashes but they never responded. Oh well. Have others to here and there. Anyway...more to follow. Thx.
