I'm not sure how to upload photo from mobile device. However, I have a 1982 Quarter. There is a dot where there should be a letter. There's no indication that it could be a D or a P. Just a Bold dot. Also, the 9 and 8 seem to be cut into on the bottom by the circular outline on the coin? I can email pictures if needee
Also the 1982 quarters are from Philly and they did have mintmarks until 1980 with the'P' mintmark. So yours is likely a 1982 Philadelphia quarter. There was also an issue with a swollen master hub that year. The deices were hanging the edge of the die and MD would be seen on the rims: The devices were moving closer the rims during that era: In 1983 they created a new master die to replace the master hub event:
It looks like the post in the D mint mark was broken on the die used to strike your coin. This common and doesn't add any value to the coin. Keep looking and ask questions when you have them!
