1920 Great Britain One Shilling: This is typical of the condition these 50% silver coins were in if you were lucky to find one in change in the early 1970s. The obverse had a much higher rim than the reverse and was normally in better condition. This coin was saved from my pocket money when I was a kid: it's a sobering thought that it's now been in my collection for almost as long as it was in circulation!
