I spent most of the last 10 days or so, trying to get my coins organized and at the very least sorted by country.

As I went through the boxes I realized I have somehow become a cent hoarder. I have not yet separated by years, but started thinking that there may be some interest in other places of this wonderful world for some canadian cents. I know I keep every Lincoln Cent I can get my hands on so maybe I can get a little interest in the canadian cents going now.

My question is this:

If I were to try to separate into sets of small cents would anyone have any interest in purchasing sets?

THIS IS NOT A SALES OFF YET, JUST POSING A POSSIBILITY

I will watch and wait for any comments or questions before I start the insanity of sorting what looks to be thousands upon thousands of cents by year.

thanks for reading

Malissa,
Do you have the "key series"--George V 1922-31? Most of these years should be in good demand.
I have my set complete, but I know someone looking for 1922, 1923 (key coin), 1924, 1925 (second key), 1926.
It might involve some looking on your part, but there are also some varieties from 1947 onward--and some have real value premiums:
1947 Blunt 7 Maple leaf
1949 "A to Denticles" --I have several writeups in this forum. In ICCS holders, these sell quickly on ebay
1954-55 "No shoulder fold" variety -- very rare and valuable.
1965 Large beads, pointed 5 variety -- worth a premium in higher grades.
1985 pointed 5 variety -- worth a premium in higher grades.

Good luck on your NFLD coins!

I started collecting Canadian cents in the 1960's, but haven't looked at them (in Whitman folder) for years.

If I regain interest, and wish to complete the set, I would be interested in buying Canadian cents. They seldom turn up in circulation here in western Colorado.

I was actually thinking something a little simpler and a little cheaper too! Like from 1980-2008 regular circulation coins in at least xf grades and still red going back to 1980 for the first few sets then reds starting at 1990 for the late comers. lol Charge a couple bucks per set?

I have easy access to older cents of course but would probably only do that if specifically ordered.
