I'm putting this in the main 'US Classic and Colonial Coins' as this post concerns both grade and variety. Does this look like the T17 (Type of 1917 low relief) or the T16 (Type of 1916 high relief)? I'm thinking it's the former but not sure. Mintmark is definitely T17, but I understand both obverse hubs were paired with both reverse hubs at times, so there isn't a consistent pairing. http://varietyvista.com/06%20Mercur...arieties.htm Also, I see some luster on this coin, and it looks like MS range based on wear.
