I'm fairly new to the coin searching game and I heard alot about saving the 1982 and 1983 Quarters and I've come across about half a dozen 1983 Quarters where the IN in IN GOD WE TRUST looks like the I and N is melded together if that makes any sense. If I had a camera good enough to take photos I would but unfortunately I do not and I apologize for that. Is that a common thing for that year? Any advice would be much appreciated and thank you

without images, it is hard to help with any accuracy.

Generally speaking though, the reason the early '80s are valuable is that they were considered blah, everyday common coins, so no one saved uncirculated rolls or many high-grade individual pieces. The valuable ones will need to be higher grade uncirculated to have much value.

We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
