This capped bust seems a little off to me. Wt is 13.55 thoughts? Also possible grading

not an expert on these. but it appears to be the small letters variety. as to authenticity someone else will need to chime in on that. looking at that cheek it looks like a good strike as its quite rounded with very little rub. the reverse would be from a weak strike. don't know if the reverse color is normal though. it perfectly could be. I think shes AU55 with a shot at 58. I was able to find a legit one that matched many points but that doesn't mean anything as there are so many varieties in this series

First off I'm not an expert in Counterfeit Detection like some folks on this forum. But I've been collecting this series for a while and would have no reason to suspect this coin is anything but authentic. Wear patterns look typical for a nice 1830's AU Capped Bust half dollar. Looks have toned in an album and is fairly attractive in my opinion.

I would guess it's genuine as well, and certainly most attractive.

This coin appears genuine to me. I would need brighter pictures to grade by and larger pictures to attribute it. Very pretty toning!
