Got this ten dollar bill today when I cahed my check. When I got home I looked through all my bills and found this one that has some type of stamp or something. Can anyone tell me what it is? Its on the right side above the serial number.

It was the top note in a strap of 100 out together and banded at a bank. A bank teller stamped the band and the stamp went of the edge of the band.

I agree with lettow, stray bank stamp.

It's truly remarkable how many members/collectors find notes with stray stampings, chop marks, underinkings, overinkings, turned digits and minor misalignments. If I didn't know better, you'd think the BEP is doing a terrible job.
