I'm not familiar with this particular medal but the image looks quite rough.

Did you buy it?

I suggest you look at https://numismatica-italiana.lamone...53?mylang=en

Wow. I see a couple others like this searching for the keywords, but they look a lot better than this one. None of the exact matches I found gave specs, just images.

The original listing is closed, but it did not list the weight. I did see what looked like a 900 on the upper right of one of the images.

The original listing touted their photographic excellence but I was not impressed.

Good news. Token weighs 5.0 grams, is 20mm diameter. Seems like gold.

Looks like a product of the Valcambio Mint.

I have no idea what the gold purity may be but I would guess perhaps .900 fine, but the color looks too yellow. Perhaps it is .500 or .750 fine, then pure gold plated before being struck.

The purchaser would have intended to keep it for a memento, or maybe for use in jewelry.

I still can't find any references with better pictures. Personally, I'd take it to a coin dealer or jeweler to analyze the metal content, if not the authenticity. I do see images of other examples like this online but there are enough differences in the details that I'm a little skeptical that this one is genuine.
