The 6 pointed star with the dot in the center makes me think this coin is from Morocco but I don't recognize what looks like possible numerals on one side and I'm not seeing it in the standard catalog. It's 17mm and 5 grams. Can anyone ID?

I suppose it is a replica of a widow's mite, showing the seal of Solomon.

@bart, I agree that it does look weird. However, my handy-dandy coinoscope app pointed me to the Kingdom of Travancore in India. I'm pretty sure that this is a match for this 1/4 Chuckram issued by Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma VI:

Yes, Spence! Definitely Travancore. However, now that I know where to look, this appears to be the 1/2 Chuckram weighing in at 5 grams. KM# 36. Thanks!

Ok yes good point. I didn't remember to check the weight and diameter to get the correct denomination. Well done!

After your post, I just got Coinoscope. Worked great on the first couple of coins I tried! Thanks for sharing!

No prob @jay. It really helps in a decent percentage of unknown coins. Just don't forget to still post here occasionally.
