We were intending to go to an old school where my wife attended in the 70's however the school has been modernised and the new buildings cover the areas of the old yard. So we went to out local school which is a combined Elementry through High school. Not much luck in the Elementry play area. so we went around to the Junior High area by the main entrance. We figured all the kids would be hanging out there waiting to be picked up.
Here is what we found. After a few minutes we had to set the discriminator to ignore foil as the place was littered with the stuff

The earing seems to be silver but has no hallmark. Sombody liked it enough to have it repaired at some point. The top stem has been broken and soldered together. One can only wish that the stones are diamonds but I am too realistice to think so.
The two holy coins are cents that some one drilled.
Our plan next week is to go back and set the discriminator for Quarters. Once all the quarters if any have been found we will go after the dimes and Nickels then Pennies. Finally we are goint to switch off the discriminator and do a last sweep for any thing else. The Only problem with High schools is the abundance of foil. We wasted almost an hour digging up foil before we started using the discriminator.
