I have a 1974 quarter, 1942 dime, and several pennies of that share the same octagonal type pattern. On certain areas of each coin are 135° degree angles that are coalescent with the angles on a 1080° octogon. I'm stumped. Please, any info into the origins of this type error will be very much appreciated. Apologize for any duplicate images

Thanks

To CCF! Well unfortunately, this isn't a legitimate error. It's been damaged after it left the U.S. Mint. PSD. Normal circulation wear and tear. The edges got banged up and pushed in. So it's not an error coin and has no extra value.
