I was at an antique fair a month ago and I saw a man with, among other things, a box of pennies. I went up to him, and went through the pennies, and to my surprise, picked out a 1909 DDB in AU50-AU55 condition. I asked him what he wanted for it, and was prepared to pay $20, because I really wanted that VDB. He just said I could have it! I am amazed at the kindness of this individual, and what I don't give to my children (someday...) I will give away like this fellow did. I looked closer at it recently, and discovered it was a 1909-VDB
DDO!(I think...) I will provide a link to pictures because, well, the ones I post fail miserably. There is some wear on LIBERTY so it does not show as much doubling, but it is there on the motto and the date. Are there more than one type and if so how do you identify them?
