I have 2 of these 1987 loonies and both have no details on both sides. They both look new. I can't see the Canadian Mint putting these out. The loonie I believe should weigh 7gr but I weighed them at122.4gr any idea what's going on with these loonies? there is no detail in the water lines trees loon or the queen any idea?

To the CCF

Without a clear picture of both sides of the coins,
there is not much we can help you with.

I would need better images to help you out. They do look interesting. Rim looks weird. Flatbed scanner works at 600dpi if you have one. MM

If you would crop your pictures, that would help increase the size and still keep it under 300. We are going to need larger clearer pictures to help you.

They look like they may be counterfeits.
But why would anyone fake a 1987 loonie.
there is no money in that, literally.
We are going to need better pics to be certain of what these are.
