I almost NEVER see these in change, and was astonished to find one. I don't assume it's worth anything more than $5, but I'd just like to double check...

I am guessing it is a US note with a red seal since its 1963 (doesn't have to be but thats what you see most of it seems). Either way I usually try to keep all older money like that if I find it in circulation even if they aren't worth much today how many will be left when I leave them for my kids when I am gone

A picture and serial numbers (if no pic available) would help.

I'd keep it unless it's like Kleenex.

I agree...
Not that it's worth more than face right now, but
any old paper money is worth keeping IMO.

I remember finding red and blue seals in circulation
often. However with so much emphasis on new currency
designs over the last 10 years or so, that has ended.
With the new designs, it makes the really old stuff
stick out like a sore thumb, so it gets pulled.

Back before 2000, when everything looked the same other
than variations in seal color, they all blended and
circulated unhampered.
