Hi Gang
Remember 1996 the first year a double signature polymer bank note was released, $5 Fraser / Evans and $5 Macfarlane / Evans display the same prefix's........ well the same has happen in 2019! With the new gen twenty's.
With the signatures of Lowe / Fraser & Lowe / Gaetjens.

Lowe/Gaetjens is the release we have seen to date, and mainly start with the serial number of 1million plus, this is due to the first printed signature of Lowe/Fraser being printed before the change of the secretary to the treasury that was appointed 2nd September 2019 well after the time all the new twenty dollar notes where printed. Very interesting indeed

Keep an eye out for both first and last prefix's

They've been out a little while but I don't think any examples with the old prefix have come to light yet. Be interesting to see if they do.

BI 19 0049481
BK 19 0041118
CC 19 004311*

i believe the long signature is very rare and collectable at the moment. Not sure if they have the same serials or they have continued serial numbers, note they dont even have to be UNC inorder to sell for above face

I'm still not sure about the total printed but I don't think they could be that rare - I would have thought at least a few million were printed.

i don't think it would be a few million from what I can see, however I don't work at the mint so I have no clue as to actual numbers (can't tell what time period they might have start printing them), from what I can see on ebay I guesstimate about 1Mish or higher might have been printed I think ive seen 3 to 4 different prefixes that they have used for the long signature. You would assume that they would run the whole series however I have notice that Royal Australian Mint doesn't always to this. Still looking haven't found one yet (maybe I should just withdrawal loads of 20 dollar notes).

Yeah not sure - I think from the numbers I've seen it looks like at least 100,000 sheets and the whole sheet would have used the same prefix but I don't know how many notes on a sheet.
