This isn't an easy die to spot. It's even harder in an earlier die state without the markers. Congrats!

Thanks peeps. Stage B has a bunch of broken posts also. Looked odd to me & the deterioration inside the rims helped me out ;)

Lol, I came across that forum looking around earlier today ! Didn't even notice you have the same SN there. Also some posts here bats had made. Cool deal ;)

Not sure about the rpm coop. This one is in rough shape & is most likely a contact mark. Stoneman & bats have better examples to confirm. PS: that is glue stuck to the coin by liberty not scratches ;)

I am unaware of an RPM associated with this die, listed or unlisted. I have a number of examples of this DDO and could give them a check but I'd need something more to go on, like direction or a citation or something to know what is thought to be there.

Hmmmm , Coop; Here is my earliest die state example that I have of this die. I haven't seen an earlier example anywhere. There may well be a small west spread on the bottom final of the S. Could be a die chip as well.

On the V.V site it looks like a south. You can still see something there on your coins. Probably a clean out of the gunk might show it better? http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...4SDDO001.htmStage 'B' full date and mintmark. Just below the lower loop?
