Hunting for the coins is really half of the fun
I have adjusted from being a covetous acquisitive collector to having two collections
One I consider permanent or rather semi permanent
I use the 'upgrade' excuse to justify the big expenses
Occasionally something must go for replacements to occur
Although I have two nearly identical sestertii of Elagabalus !
Still can't decide which one to keep 7 years on
The other is the collection in flux
Some go but then more come in
Lacking a stupendous income compromises need be made
But it keeps me out of trouble
(and bankruptcy !)

No matter how much we love our collections we know we won't be owning them forever
Although the thought of carrying a few on in pocket has occurred to me !
My philosopher daughter has expressed interest so I promised her some of the good stuff
My video game addicted son ?
(he's 15)
Fahgeddabouditt !
The wife ?
She finds the whole idea of me spending money quite disturbing .........

Hopefully my daughter Anna absconds with the whole lot of them

Bob wish you well on your sales. Yes it's hard to part with pieces of our collection, but I think its good practice to cash in on some of your finds. I say this only because I've seen coins that come on to the market labeled "ancient coin" or "unidentified" that have sold for a fraction of what they are worth. This has scared me into taking inventory on my coins and instructions of where and how to sell them (if they wish to).

Yes indeed!

It's in an excel spreadsheet and it automatically calculates the totals - it's a great tool.

That looks like a nice tool travelcoin. Do you build it yourself in Excel or is it downloadable somewhere?

It was a template. I can't remember the exact name, but if you have Excel go to:

1. New
2. search templates and type in "Bathroom Remodel" its a very good one and I'm using that one as well.
