How To Remove Fluorescence Spots From Bathed Banknotes?

alexbl3003 New Member Germany 2 Posts	Posted 02/09/2020 3:12 pm I had the idea to put circulated banknotes into water and to press them dry under a heavy weight to get them plain and smooth like you do it with stamps. Unfortunately, that wasn't a good idea. These banknotes are smooth now, but there are also large fluorescence areas on some of these banknotes now (probably coming from the security ink). You can't see that with your naked eye but under UV light only. Might there be a chance to get rid of these spots? Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff
