Sorry about the news Will. that may be why the seller uses the white background. To create a "washout' on the images. I'm leary of sellers that do the same thing with bright or deep red backgrounds. The reflection off the background seems to alter/affect the colors compared to actual colors in hand. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
