Interesting with the split bands.
In the overall pictures they look to be FullySB, but the close ups, although show the split as well, do not have the 'top of the old loaf of bread' appearance. I am hoping and guessing a slightly weak strike in this area, because the rest of the coin does not show any wear.

I agree with Full Bands but although all very cleanly split with good definition, but not the 'loaf of bread' FSB

Tiny impact dent over the eyebrow of Liberty, looks like another on her cheek.

Otherwise, a nice strike with good luster on both the obverse and reverse.

Very honest to emphasize stains in the pictures.
Pretty coin, anyway. I can understand why you posted it.

I'll say MS-62/63 with distracting spotting as well as scuffing in right reverse field. Below-average eye appeal.

1938 Philly has good strikes and many exhibit FB and good luster, so this is more for the common date, the blotch toning doesn't add eye appeal in my opinion.

Edit: I would go between MS-63 and 64.

I have to agree about the splotchy toning ,brings eye appeal way down ,especially on the date . MS-62/63 .

I cant go higher than MS63 on this one. FB is possible but the closeup is iffy for impingement. my guess is that there is slight impingement.

Flat tops on the bands could be due to a slightly waek strike in this area.

That is why FSB's in MS++ condition are so scarce.
