A natural toned Morgan. My grade was when I bought it around 3 years ago. Looking at it again, I notice a scratch across the nose and field in front of the chin. What I've read about scratches like this is that sometimes people have been careless about removing them from one of those paper and stapled flips, and dragged the coin across the staple.

Anyway, I still don't know enough about grading. Is my grade about right? How much does the scratch hurt the grade or value?

And as always, what do you think?

Too bad about the scratch, it's very attractive otherwise. I'd say AU-58, probably details because of the scratch. If you're interested, it looks like a VAM-19A, or a "barwing" because of the diebreak above the right wing.

I would say AU-58 as well and agree the scratch might well detail it.
