Can someone help me confirm what year this 1940s S Wheat penny is and value if any? The last digit is missing and it looks like there is a stamp error adding a dot between the two wheat stalks.

@stg, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that better pics would help, but from what I see, parts of the design might have beeen lightly struck perhaps due to a little grease in the die. On the other hand, there is considerable circulation wear that may explain the missing digits.
