Sorry guys maybe have to wait till great grandsons come round anyone with knowledge of hammered coins it is the same size of a HenryV1 farthing which I have except that the reverse has the small cross with fleour de Li's and crowns in the quarter's only coin I see with fleour de Li's is CharlesV1 of France but it's not him there is no bust of him on the obverse as far as I know. Will try and Lear how to take photos but he has the coin I think it must be really rare

Crowns and fleurs de lis in the angles with no portrait sounds French, though I am not familiar with a coin as small as you are indicating (10-11 mm?). Certainly larger denominations in the 15th century could be described that way. Here is a common type: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces8633.html
