Hi All,

So started new job (very busy bar) few days ago and in that I get to handle a good amount of change & paper money.

So today I finally got to go through some of backup change and in it there I are bank rolls 2007 D Montana, 2003 Alabama, and South Dakota. All uncirculated rolls with sharpie written on them. My question is should I grab them up and if I do is there any premium value over face. Asking also if any errors on those varieties. Was this someone's dump that I happened to pick up from bank?

After I get my feet under me I will be able to go through so much change and bills for free and as part of my job. Will add an hour to end of each of my nights but about it have a lot of fun!

I would get them just to look for high grades and any errors, and if there are none, just take them to the bank and your out nothing.

Not likely you will find anything but still worth a try.

Back during the State Quarter era a LOT of people hoarded Unc rolls sure they would be worth a lot in the future, Now after holding them for ten to twenty years people are trying to "cash in" and finding that there is no significant premium for them and most dealers have all they need and aren't interested in buying them for over face value. So they eventually end up just depositing them back in the bank. In some cases dealers end up buying them as part of a collection, in which case they are figured at face value or LESS, and then the dealer just deposits them and that is how they make their profit on them.
