I am not much of a Lincoln man and would appreciate any assistance in this area. There is a local dealer who is selling two 1995 DD obverse Lincoln's. They both are in PCGS slabs at graded as MS65 RB.
He is asking $80 for each.
Is that too much?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

IMO, that's a little high for a PCGS slabbed 1995 DDO. I paid about $45-50 as I recall for mine, it's MS64-65 red (raw). However, it's WAY out according to the PCGS price guide:

http://www.pcgs.com/prices/PriceGui...Lincoln+Cent

This is strange, it's the first time I felt the PCGS guide seemed a little low on price....at least for the RB. The RD values seem pretty accurate. You should point your dealer to this price guide and see if he'd sell you the coin for $20.....hehehehehehehehehe.

I picked up an NGC graded MS67R for that price. I think an MS65RB should cost 20%-30% less than that.

From looking at the averages of completed sells on ebay, MS68 NCG or PCGS $140,MS67 NCG,PCGS $90, MS66 NCG,PCGS $75 , and MS63 $50. These are all RD. Out of over 20, there was only 1 MS63, rest were 66-68. There is a large variation in the 67-68. Buy it Nows seemed to get the best deals on 67,68.

I would not pay over $50 for that coin. They are readily available on ebay.

Coin World trends list MS66 Red for $75.

I agree $80 for a 65RD is overpriced.

$80 is way too high.

Look elsewhere.
But, it is a fun variety, and not that expensive.

timthrill,
Is that slabbed?
I would think not.
So how much would one add for a slabbed version?
PGCS or NGC. I would think that you would add different amounts depending upon the grading service?
I think PGCS is the most expensive and would add about $20 to the price. Does that sound okay.
Then I was right to take everybody's advice and pass
