I purchased this Morgan dollar last week from my LCS. I paid a good price for the grade except for this spot on the left wing on the reverse. The bag marks look more like scratches in the photo for reference. I went home and soaked it in acetone and the spot toned down a little. I'm torn on what to do, I like buying from him, but He did say I could return it if I wanted. What should I do?

I personally don't care for this example - just too beat up.

I'm more concerned about all the marks on the coin. I would look for a different example.

Well, I returned the 79s and got an 83o in place of it. It is a nice coin with better eye appeal. Glad I did this, every time I looked at that spot on the reverse, it would have made me upset.

Looks like someone took a shot and winged him. That dirty so and so'. I'd take it back if possible and hold out for a nicer one.
