Both retain a small island where the 3rd feather is supposed to be. This coin is the first die Pope illustrates in his book. Report this Post to the Staff

There is quite a bit of die clash polishing on the other design elements on this one, too, so that masks the grade a bit. I think it runs to EF details. Your purchase price is in the ballpark. It's been a while since I've seen a '27-S 2-ish feather. I know I haven't handled one since I went to electronic records in 2011.
