This was probably the least crowded show I have ever been to, at least for the area I am in. I cannot say I am surprised with the economy as it is. It actually started to depress me somewhat.

My target today was a 1931-S LHC, but all I saw were MS coins that would have really thrown off the look of my F-XF collection. I did find a 1914-D with that beautiful woodgrain look to it and some de-lamination on the reverse, but the dealer wanted a little more than I wanted to spend on it. I will probably regret the decision.

I spent most of the time looking, listening, and talking. Everyone was talking about the election and the economy. A good mix of discussions going on, perfect for a lurker like me!

I did talk to a dealer for a while about the low silver spot price and how there is a wide gap between it (the "paper" value) and what you could actually buy real silver for. FWIW, he was selling junk silver at 10 times face, well below the average I saw on the floor (which was closer to 12 times).
The only thing I bought today: some 1908
Barber coins for my son.
