Although I haven't looked up the attribution # yet I'm more concerned about the area between the 5 and 6. It is raised and appears to have affected the 6. Any thoughts on what this might be? Thanks.

If by D/D you mean RPM and not Doubled Die, then no I do not think it is a RPM. The mark by 6 I am not sure,other than a die gouge?

Thanks John1. That makes sense about the die gouge. It would make the area on the 6 flat on that side. As for the rpm.. I think I'm noticing a faint d north. I'll see if I can find it listed today.

This does in fact look like a RPM to my eyes.
But if John1 thinks otherwise I'm not for sure.

Any incuse mark on a die will leave a raised area on the coins struck. Note closer on this area it show flow lines on the fields and over that area. That tells me it was on the die for quite sometime. It maybe that the die was damaged as the '6' moves away from that area. So a contact on the die, a mark/gouge, may have damaged the die?

@John1- You were correct. This isn't a rpm and thanks again for the gouge evaluation.
@SilverCents- Thanks for the reply.
@coop- As always a detailed explanation of what's going on with a coin. Much appreciated. You guys are great.
