Chicago23 Valued Member United States 144 Posts	Posted 02/21/2020 05:33 am I picked this up at a pawn shop today because it was 20 dollars. I know less than nothing about this coin. When I went to read about it there's seems to be 20 varieties for every date and MM. Is this just your run of the mill low grade common date you buy at a pawn shop for 20 dollars or is it a not so common variety. It looks to have a few minor strike throughs and Double strikes to me but again that could be common with this coin. Any info would be appreciated, thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

dave700x Rest in Peace United States 10625 Posts	Posted 02/21/2020 09:53 am I would say it's in the mid AU range. As for the VAM number it's not a VAM-4. The date position does not match. Your example is a near date position where the left side of the base of the 1 is directly over the gap between the second and third denticles. VAM-4 is a very near date position that has the 1 set left of that position.
