paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 02/22/2020 8:25 pm Always thought these were an interesting old coin but despite there being no shortage of these around I had never got around to actually owning one -- until I happened across this one. I'll post what I have, and if @Finn235 or anyone else could provide any further information, that would be wonderful. It's 4.1g, 16.9mm x 14.6mm, and the flan is 2.7 mm thick. Reverse axis is about 60 deg. CCW assuming coin orientation. The design (portrait side with eye line / reverse with fire altar and crescent) appears to be mostly on the flan. Nice grayish silver color, appears to be in fairly decent shape. Having read @Finn235's most valuable article on the subject, this appears to be one of the coins he numbers as series 1.4.
