Just a general question what are some common coin errors you have never come across CHR or in circulation?

Mine is I have yet to find a BIE cent as well as the extra leaf quarters.

You giveth then taketh away... a common error I haven't come across? That's a toughie. If they were so common, why didn't I encounter it? I have personally about ten years of collecting/roll hunting experience yet I have never com across a blank planchet. But I really don't know how common/uncommon they are. I have found a few very rare error coins, but those I knew were unusual. Interesting question.

It would be easier to answer if a list of "common errors" was provided. Are varieties included?

I remember in 2000 when I was working in FL there were a lot of blanks coming out of bank rolls.

As for varieties I've never came across any RPM or WAM

merclover,
I went through over 4 million cents before I found the one and only blank planchet in my collection and it was a LSC.

If it was blank how do you know it was a LSC?

Great question, although it might be better to ask which errors CCF members actually have come across.

In the UK, I've found coins with lamination errors, Machine Doubling, grease-filled dies and a couple (2p and 10p) with rim clips. I've never found a brockage, a coin struck on the wrong blank or a blank planchet. I've never found any of the well-publicised error coins such as the undated 20p or the 1983 mule 2p. On my various trips to the USA I've found Lincoln cents with Die Deterioration Doubling but I've never found a major error coin.
