Found this penny very different than any I have owned or seen does it have a name? As far a the difference in the coin or damage? Any help will be appreciated thanks

Looks like it may have been contained in a bezel at one time to make a piece of jewellery.

Formerly Encased Cent. Used for jewelry purposes. There is no premium for those.

I agree, used to be encased and was pried out of casing, leaving the damage area above the WE.

It's nothing good unfortunately. Just a damaged coin. Only worth face value at this point.
