Hi there. I'm not exactly a collector, I'm just trying to help my dad out.... where would I go to find out if this coin really has 3 mints on it or if it's a hoax?

Looks like it could be glue, or something stuck on the surface.

To the CCF Photos are out of focus but from what I can see, someone has put glue on the coin and pressed another coin onto it. See this quite often on the Forum. Soak it in acetone and it should disappear.

I would have thought the glue also but it's both sides. I don't have it in hand to look at yet. They took it to their local coin guy and he didn't say glue. I'm just having a hard time believing there are really 3 prints on a coin.

It's glue, you can see a glob of it in front of Lincoln's face.

to the CCF! Make sure to read and follow the precautions on the acetone container. It's a health risk and fire/explosion risk.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
