Question On Possible Ancient Counterfit Coin

I've been collecting coins for a while as an amateur, I recently got into collecting ancient coins and bought a possible ancient counterfit coin. It's an Alexander the great tetradrachm. I just want to know if it is an ancient counterfit or a modern counterfit that the silver coating has already worn off of. Also, I would like to know the worth of a coin like this to avoid overspending in the future. The diameter is 31 cm and the weight is 18.1 g. The coin has the appearance of being old and is covered with dirt that hides the details. IMO it is not genuine, as to when it was made there really is no way to tell on this particular coin.
