Hettger, a well known numismatic researcher and collector. Along with the coin, he sent a note he typed on a manual typewriter. Sometimes, when collecting coins, you run into small kindnesses that one would likely not otherwise encounter in the 21st century. Like jpbone suspected, the coin looks beautiful in hand.
