nEF from worn dies.
Looks like plating has worn through on the high points.
That is not so; these coins were made from quaternary metal (50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, 5% zinc).
The blanks were acid etched and rinsed to enrich the silver in the surface layer, before striking into coins.

Poorer silver alloy shows through as a result of wear, under the high points of the design, both sides.

VF - George is fairly worn, the obverse is nice though, but agree on comments, these half silver coins wore badly and very quickly.

Had your coin been one year older, it would have been sterling silver.

Not much wear on the reverse so I'd say this obverse is weakly struck. EF-40
