Just picked this one up. Not the usual steel cent coated in copper but a non-magnetic cast specimen. I find these a bit more interesting as coating a coin with copper can be a fun trick, while making this one was clearly designed to make a counterfeit.

Wow, I would expect a cast Wheat cent to be super obvious, but this one I could actually see fooling some dealers/collectors, not just the everyday non collector.

The bust is showing an over polished die issue, the devices look more like the 1960's cents. (larger than the 1943 devices) If this were a real example, the die should be fresh at this point. (if the copper planchets were left over, they should be the first examples struck by fresh dies) Unless the employees added blanks later on because I have seen examples of that were not EDS, but were considered mint struck.
