To answer your question it's a SF variety. Resurrecting this old thread bring back fond memories of Dick (living dinosaur). An older well respected contributor to this forum and some earlier platforms that many on this forum now will remember. Cheers, Bill

Yes, I had been wondering about Dick, but he was getting pretty elderly and had lost even more sight than when he used to contribute regularly. I think that Rob was the last person to even see him.

Kycollect this is a 1955 shoulder fold. Kycollect you have something, that I have never seen before until now. thank you for posting. you have 1955 large 5 small 5 OK you check your coin. 195 the first five from the left is larger the second or last 5 on the right is smaller. this would be a new variety hope this helps here is your images. try to line your coins as straight as possible up and down.

The photos were taken at an angle, so sizes don't match up. Coin photos need to be taken directly perpendicular.

Rocky: My eyes are just fine. Yes, I can see that there is a difference between the 2 5's, but the original photo was taken at an angle (not perp) so looking at it on a computer screen can tell nothing definitie. Your blowing up the original photo doesn't clear anything up. I'm just saying that, to be accurate, the photos need to be taken at dead 90 degrees. My comment had nothing to do with you; I'm sorry that you took it that way.

Should I upload a new pic? If this were a new variety what exactly would that mean? I know very little about coin collecting as I'm just starting.

A new picture, taken at 90 degrees, would help a lot. There were nearly 5 1/2 million minted and each die probably struck a few hundred thousand coins. If it was a new variety, it would have already been discovered. Post a photo, but don't get your hopes up unnecessarily.
