Hello,

Where can I find out what modern commemorative coins were originally issued at (price.) This information is in "The Red Book" for Proof Sets but not for Commemorative Coins. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

If you can find the book, The Official Guide to US Commemorative Coins by David Ganz, it tells prices from 1892 thru 1999. I picked mine up at a used book store for 3 dollars. If you want I can probably shoot you some if you let me know which ones.

Another book suggestion would a Coin World publication called Guide to US Coins- Prices and Value Trends. It is a small, thick soft cover and the list price for the 2007 edition was $7.99. It lists the pre-issue price(when applicable) and the issue price for all commemoratives and has population melt figures for classic commems.
