Need help with grading this 1964-P KHD that I recently purchased in a mint uncirculated set from my LCS. There are some bag marks on the face, but the reverse looks pretty darn good. As a newbie I am tempted to grade this at least MS-60 as there aren't any circulation marks.
What say you guys?
Thanks,
Jon

Too much flashback to see surface details clearly.

Somewhat, but still not ideal. At least a number of surface marks are showing up. I'll say MS-63 at best.

Solid MS-63, perhaps a weak MS-64.

Try putting a filter over your light source.

Thanks guys for trying. I'll try a shot with my camera tomorrow. I thought I could capture adequate photos with a digital microscope.

Last photos are superb, crop the photos down to just the coin and you'll like them even better. basically what you want to achieve is as close to what it looks like in hand as you can, as that is how they'll be graded if you send them to a TPG. Others may have advice as well. I find indirect lighting is best, as direct lighting gives too much glare, I cover my lights with regular printer paper and find it to work best, and have tried all kinds of lighting angles as well.

Again, the last photos are great!
