This coin was listed as possibly ancient Syrian, but I can't find anything that remotely resembles it. The diameter is 20mm, the thickness 4mm, and the weight 7.9gms.

Does anyone recognise it?

Not nearly as old as it looks

Ratlam state copper Paisa, 1888? Obverse is a sun-face and katar, or push-dagger. Princely states were famous for their katars in the way that Japan is famous for its katanas, and were used as an emblem on many of their coins.

Thank you very much, @Finn235. I was beginning to give up on this one. It's great to know what it actually is.
