Thanks Bill. Thats what I thought. I cant believe the coins you've found...I looked at your website. I plan on a lot of roll searching this winter. Maybe I'll come across something.

MikeP, I am working on new pages that show the collections of coins formed by searching through rolls. The stuff on my site is the tip of the iceberg:-) The stuff that turns up is amazing! I just got an email from a guy that found 280 Liberty nickels at his bank. It's a fun hobby and I don't have to buy any coins:-) Have Fun, Bill |

I used to reach all my mothers pennies in the jar when I was a kid forty years ago and found some good stuff. a few month ago I found a few silver Kennedy have dollars in bank rolls but the bank rarely have them any more. about two years ago a friend showed me a roll of pennies he go from the bank with 6 Indian pennies in them maybe its time to do some searching again |

Yea all kinds of stuff turns up in banks silver dollars, silver certificates, Barber coinage, Flying Eagle cents. Ive even found a 1842 large cent stuck in the machine at the bank I work at. It just takes patience and good ears. |
