If I might offer one suggestion--I think the auction needs a closeup of Lincoln's portrait for bidders to confirm your coin. I think I can just see it now. Best wishes on your auction!

hi Kurt. If you save the enlarged pic to your computer pics. You can really blow it up to see all the details. The camera I have is not to great for close up. That was the best I could get after alot of tries. When it sells for $450 I'll get a new camera.

I guess I'm a bit of a photographer...just commenting on how you might maximize bids.
Sorry to hear your camera isn't well-suited. If you can find a better camera to use, I've found that large, crisp pics really help me sell my coins.
It's not my point to critique your shot needlessly, but more detail would really help for a coin like a DDO, that's all.
Here's a typical shot I do for selling a coin. Granted, I have a pro setup here, but many budget point-shoots will work fine (camera review).
Just my advice from selling many coins--best wishes.

I really appreciate the advice and will look into a better camera. Did you try what I wrote to get a better pic? Pics worth thousand words.

Sure thing. I do a lot of downloading off ebay to find rare die varieties.
I downloaded yours, resampled and sharpened--if it helps.

Unfortunately, my eyes are shot, and I can't see the DD

If you don't mind another suggestion, it would also be helpful to have a picture of the reverse. You can say it's fine, and I'm sure it is, but the bidder will want to see for him/herself. If I can't clearly see (big bold pictures please!) both sides (and the rim if warranted), I don't bid if it's over a buck.

If you lived near me I'd bring my camera over and fix you right up

Seriously though... Good luck with the auction. I doubt everyone is as computer-blind as I am .

Had 134 watchers and not one bid. Maybe the shipping was to high. I'm going to look into some way to get it slabbed. Maybe SGS. lol
