I think this is quite an interesting Half-Groat of King Henry VI from the Calais mint. I thought it had been clipped but apparently this could be a planchet error?

The current theory about this by YeOlde on CoinPeople is that it might have been hit by a piece of agricultural machinery as it lay just below the surface...
